Thank You Firehouse Chicken Sponsors!

The Saline Area Fire Department’s Summerfest Firehouse Chicken raised close to $35,000 for the department.

The annual chicken barbecue was a hit – with firefighters selling out in less than three hours.

Fire Chief Craig Hoeft said proceeds from the department will be used to replace the aging grass rig. The department will also use funds to purchase first-aid kits for Saline schools.

The department sold nearly 500 chicken dinners.
